RÉSUMÉ

also referred to as my portfolio if you wanna be mean about it

This is a magazine inspired by the work of the late Saul Bass. I was drawn to his work because of his geometric style, so I decided to call the magazine "Geomonthly" to incorporate that theme of geometry, obviously making it a portmanteau of "monthly" to complete the function of a masthead.
This is a personal collage which was created as practice for maintaining balance while incorporating several different assets at once. I utilized Adobe Illustrator very sparingly to edit vector images of iconography for operating systems of the past, making sure to use colors reflecting flags that I identify with.
A calevera flourished from a base image. Multiple different types of flowers were used to create interesting shapes, and some areas were selectively darkened to create depth.
One of the first photos I took for my DMA class, captured with a slow shutter speed to emphasize fast movement when swinging a drumstick. Subject shown is Seth Porter.
Another photo I took to emphasize a shallow depth of field. I captured this photo in the moment when I saw this plant moving in the wind, inspired by nature-oriented wallpapers from Windows XP.
I took this photo when I was learning about texture, intetionally editing it in Adobe Lightroom to create a cooler tone. I feel as if this could pass for another Windows XP wallpaper.
I backlit photo I took with the aid of a reflector, I am still surprised at the detail I was able to preserve. I have since forgotten the subject's name as a result of him dropping this class.
One of the last portraits I shot for the DMA Photography unit. By this point, I understand how to effectively use natural light to capture detail in what I was shooting, and began experimenting with using the Manual mode of my camera.
A "location portrait" which I shot over the course of several days, with assistance from my Video Production instructor.
A 60 second documentary in which I interview Alexander Parks about his interest in game development, and the creations which he has not made yet.
